Hi, I'm Rhonda Renee

Your wound is probably not your fault, but your healing is totally your responsibility.

Normalizing mental healthcare and wellness, especially amongst BIPOC communities, is very important to me. We don’t have to be the products of our environment. We can heal. We can break generational trauma. We can find ways to deal with depression and anxiety. Allow me to be your cheerleader, your resource, and your example that when you start putting yourself first, it will start to improve every other area and relationship in your life. I’ve done the work and I want to help you along your journey to mental wellness.

But, don’t be fooled. This wasn’t an easy road for me. After getting my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, I:

Got married and had some kids.
Wrote for 3 blogs; 2 of my own and a Michigan Mom blog with the Detroit News site.
Decided to go back to school and became licensed for skin care and make-up.
Owned a skin care business for a few years and wrote for Her Detroit Magazine for one of those years.

As the make-up parties and vision board parties started to shift focus towards inner beauty, setting goals, and being unapologetic about your confidence, I realized that it’s too many of us who suffer in silence. I made it my mission to help those who deserve a life full of nothing but happiness. So I decided to go back to school (again) for counseling and am currently working as a Limited License Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Michigan.

I look forward to sharing resources, pushing past cultural stigmas, and walking towards a life of wholeness and mental wellness.
